Russia, the Power Vertical Comes up Short
Moscow was sent reeling on January 24 by a suicide bombing at Domodedovo Airport, the busiest of the city’s three major airports and a hub for international carriers. Thirty-five people were killed and more than 100 injured. Many versions of who might have carried out the attack circulated in the aftermath of the carnage, with most people blaming militants from the North Caucasus.
